Hot flashes can cause some women to experience problems with rosacea, often for the first time in their
life.
With rosacea, facial blood vessels dilate too easily, and the increased blood flow near the skin surface
makes it appear red and flushed. Various trigger factors -- and menopause hot flashes is one -- can increase this
redness response. Acne-like bumps appear. If the condition persists and worsens, scarring can occur. The
condition may require medical intervention to bring it under control.
